Hillary Clinton has come under fire from reporters and her rival, Donald Trump, for not holding enough news conferences to take questions from journalists.

Friday, she spoke before a room full of reporters during her address at the combined conference of the National Association of Black Journalists and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists in Washington, D.C.
After making brief remarks, Clinton fielded questions from NBC’s Kristen Welker and Telemundo’s Lori Montenegro covering topics ranging from immigration reform to her email sever controversy, which she said she “regrets.”
She then took questions from the floor.
When asked what she thinks the number of Trump supporters says about America overall, Clinton said she believes the “core” of Trump’s support centers on the disappointment in the economy that many Americans feel.
Clinton said there is misogyny in the tone of the Trump campaign but added, “let’s not lose sight of the pain Americans are feeling.”
Clinton also called for rejecting and standing up against the kinds of “bigotry” and use of “bluster and bullying” we see from Trump’s campaign while noting that she doesn’t care what Trump says about her.
Rare’s Kendall Trammell was inside the room as Clinton spoke and reports there was lots of applause for a Washington Post reporter’s comment that Clinton should talk to reporters more often.
Trump slammed Clinton during a Miami rally just last month for her failure to hold any press availabilities in nearly a year.

“So, it’s been 235 days since crooked Hillary Clinton has had a press conference,” Trump told the crowd at the July 27 campaign event. “You, as reporters who give her all of these glowing reports, should ask yourselves why.”
